Global Team Goup

The first activity we did in our group was really interactive. Our first activity was about how we can make our peers' experience here better and my group made an advertisement about personalizing our name tags so that people can see what we like to do. I think my group has many ideas that once put together will make a change in the way people perceive things and maybe change their paradigms and have a better view of issues aroun the world!!! :D i can't wait to get back to my group!!

1st Day!!!!

Sooo today was the first day we started our activities. We had a meeting with a representative from the US embassy, the council general!..then we had the IB director speak about the amazing spread of The programme!! I was very excited to see someone official from the IB represenation!! This experience has been very unique.

We just had a quick meeting on the expectations for us IB students and then snack time. Now it's time for the best...The soccer match!!! Woh Go Spain!!!!

Finally in Segovia,Spain!!!

Hotel Candido is amazing!!..I am delighted to be here for this memorable trip and experience meeting new peer from aroubd the world!! I have met a group of girls from Georgia...not the U.S. state...but the actual country..their accents are fenomenal...I can't wait to get unpacked and go meet more new people!!

Are we there yet?

I'm on my way to the airport finally!!..can't wait to get to Spain an start this journey!:D

Are You Ready for This?...Cuz I'm Ready for This! :D

      Wow, so I just looked at the guest speakers that will be coming to the meetings and I am inspired!! I am excited to get with my Global Citizen Group and start our intense and educational discussions! I am eager to see how the future generation's leaders view the world...as in the poverty, the crime, the education system, the social media, and violence in their societies.

      Our generation of youth is growing up with technology that the previous generations have never used and are not accustomed to and knowing the next generation after us, will grow up with MORE technology is crazy to thing about. In the U.S. social media has led to movements that brought about change around the world, but it has also increased bullying. Now I would like to know what others think about this, and solutions to problems like bullying.

      As for the events that will happen in the five days we are all there....I am extremely anxious to see what everyone brings for Global Village!!       

Nervous!!

Ahhh...so today it just hit me...Will I be good company?...Can I represent the Mid-Atlantic region well?...Will I be able to meet up with the standards for the reasons I was given this scholarship?..but then I thought about it and realized..I am an IB kid, I got this, I know how to be unique and stand out, I can think out of the box!...So now I am even more excited to meet kids from around the world that are just like me!!
